Young Artist Programs

A total of some 40 residencies with most of the country’s leading training programs:

Ryan Opera Center (formerly Lyric Opera Center for American Artists, 1992—present): one of the principal coaches of the renowned Lyric Opera Center, with a 2- to 4-month residency every summer.  Coached singers, taught diction classes in German and Italian, conducted staged performances of Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, Die Zauberflöte, Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Don Pasquale.

Lindemann Young Artists Development Program (Metropolitan Opera, 2000-2005): 3- to 6-week residency each spring to coach non-operatic recital repertoire.

Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Program (Washington National Opera, 2002-07):
2-week residency every spring starting with the program’s inception in 2002.

Merola Opera Program (San Francisco Opera, 1991 & 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013):  2-week residencies consisting of master classes and coachings with special emphasis on German repertoire and Italian recitative singing and accompanying.

Wagner Intensive (Baldwin-Wallace College, 2011—present): coaching and conducting of programs consisting of scenes from Wagner operas.
